Kudargarh is a famous pilgrim center situated in Sarguja District, Chhattisgarh.  It is 98 km from district headquarters of Ambikapur connected by an all weather road. This place of worship, dedicated to Goddess Kudargarhi is on a hill. People come here seeking fulfillment of their wishes. There is a small hole (kund), the diameter of 6 inches but it doesn't get full even thousands of goat's blood is poured into it.


History
According to the history, this sacred temple was established by kings of Baland dynasty. It is said that baland’s kings were the fundamental rulers of state Korea during 17th of century. According to local belief, the deity of the temple has great power to fulfil all the wishes of her devotees. If a person wants to fulfil his or her wish then he or she needs to visit the temple and offer blood of goat. The goat-blood should be poured into a Kund or hole of only 6 inch. It is said, this Kund cannot be overflows whether it is poured with blood of thousands goats. Having offered goat-blood, devotees can hope for the fulfilment of their wishes. In concise this sacred temple shows the real picture of religion in the state as well as the country.

How to Reach
By Road
If you have planned to reach at Kudargarh by roadways then you can easily get local road-transport such as buses, cabs and taxis. Hence it is very easy to reach at the temple via roadways as Kudargarh area is well linked with other neighbouring cities or towns of the state by well-developed roads.
By Rail or Train
Surajpur district is well connected with other important parts of the country by railway networks. Hence, devotees or visitors can easily find right railway route to the temple. Some of the nearest railway stations are Surajpur road railway station only 9 km, Karonji railway station around 11 km and Sheopaarsad nag railway station about 12 km distance from the temple.
By Air

Varanasi airport is the nearest airport. Visitors or devotees can get direct flights to this airport from various domestic airports in the country.
